A Fable in Bilingual Version
In a distant forest, there lived a clever little fox named Ahuo. Although young, he always came up with wonderful ideas. One day, he met an old tortoise named Lao Man.
"Why do you walk so slowly?" asked Ahuo curiously.
"Because I understand the importance of patience," said Lao Man slowly. "Speed is not everything. Sometimes, walking slowly allows you to see more."
Ahuo didn't think much of it. "But I always want to finish things quickly, so I can have more time to play!"
Lao Man smiled and said, "Would you like to walk with me for a while? Let's see how long you can keep up."
So, Ahuo and Lao Man started their journey. Along the way, Ahuo ran fast, looking at flowers and chasing butterflies, and soon fell behind. Lao Man, on the other hand, walked steadily without rushing.
When they finally reached their destination, Ahuo was panting and sitting on the ground, while Lao Man was energetic and smiling.
"What did you see?" asked Lao Man.
"I only saw the road ahead," answered Ahuo.
"But I saw the scenery along the way, the birds' songs, the colors of the leaves, and your running," said Lao Man.
Ahuo was silent. For the first time, he realized that walking slowly was not a failure, but another kind of wisdom.
From that day on, Ahuo learned to slow down and appreciate every moment of life.
