【二年级英语演讲小故事-猴子捞月】Hello, everyone! Today I want to tell you a little story. The name of the story is "Monkeys and the Moon." It's a very interesting and fun story for children like us.
Once upon a time, there was a group of monkeys living in a forest. One night, the sky was clear, and the moon was shining brightly. The monkeys saw the moon in the water. They thought it was a real moon!
"Look! There is a moon in the river!" one monkey said.
"That's beautiful!" another monkey said.
"We must get it!" they all shouted together.
So they ran to the river. They wanted to take the moon out of the water. But the moon was not really there. It was just a reflection of the real moon in the sky.
The monkeys tried many ways to get the moon. Some of them climbed down the tree and jumped into the water. Others tried to catch it with their hands. But no matter what they did, the moon was still not there.
Finally, an old monkey came and said, "The moon is not in the water. It is in the sky. We cannot take it out."
The young monkeys were surprised. They looked up and saw the real moon in the sky. Then they understood that the moon in the water was just a picture, not the real one.
From that day on, the monkeys learned a lesson: we should not believe everything we see. Sometimes things are not what they seem.
Thank you for listening to my story. I hope you enjoyed it. That’s all from me.
